Why Will We Gather?
We live in a world full of filters, fillers, and endless ways to keep up appearances. Most of us have many quick, superficial interactions a day — texts, likes, drop-offs and quick check-ins — and somehow, in mid-life we’re often left feeling emptier than ever. Between aging parents, growing kids, careers, and keeping everyone else happy, it’s easy to lose ourselves in the noise.
That’s why this is called They’re Real. Because what’s missing isn’t another beauty treatment or another surface-level acquaintance — it’s the real stuff. The deeper stuff. This series is an invitation to pause. To get grounded. To connect with women who get it. Come as you are — yoga pants, no makeup or blowout required, favorite “sippy cup” in hand — and feel truly seen and accepted.
What to Expect
Over 4 Thursday evenings (8–10 PM), we’ll gather in a small, welcoming group.
- Engaging the 5 senses — grounding, presence, and joy in simple moments.
- Gentle movement & meditation — nothing fancy; a way to get into your body, stretch, breathe, move (no sweat!).
- Facilitated conversations & activities — designed to create real connection.
- Journaling & reflection — space to notice what’s real for you.
- A circle of belonging — laughter, honesty, acceptance.
Bring your journal, your favorite drink, and an open mind. We’ll take it from there.

Christine Laperriere
Author of Too Busy to Be Happy • Founder, Leader in Motion Inc.
Christine has spent over 16 years coaching leaders to become stronger coaches for their teams, better manage stress, build deeper connections, and achieve their personal career aspirations. A mom of two and the sole breadwinner in her family, she knows the modern juggle and brings both wisdom and real-world experience to every conversation. She lives in Aldershot and, beyond her love for a great reformer class, she’s diligently working to strengthen her pickleball game.

Jannine Krish
Marketing leader • Barre & yoga instructor
Jannine is a dynamic marketing leader and single mom to three amazing children. Beyond her career, she is a certified barre and yoga instructor, passionate about helping women reconnect with their bodies and themselves. She brings warmth, perspective, and a gift for creating safe spaces where women can show up fully. She lives in Aldershot and currently teaches at Grounded Pilates (West).
